COVID Testing in Atlanta

If you are a patient needing to be evaluated for COVID-19, please follow the steps below. Please note, due to high demand, completing these steps does not guarantee that you will be tested, it simply places you on our list of patients requesting COVID-19 testing.

We currently offer several options for COVID-19 testing. We offer COVID-19 PCR testing to evaluate for active infection. We also offer IgG antibody testing to evaluate fir previous COVID-19 infection. We bill insurance for the office encounter as well as the COVID-19 test itself. These services are billed to insurance. Insurance may or may not cover the office encounter and/or the COVID-19 testing. Coverage for these services is determined by your insurance company and takes into consideration the reason you are being tested. We are currently out of network with most HMO’s including Kaiser and the POS plan from BCBS.

If you have no insurance the out of pocket cost for the office encounter is $75 and the out of pocket cost for the COVID-19 nasal PCR test is $100 and the COVID-19 serum antibody test is $100. Turnaround time for the nasal pcr test result through Quest is currently about 3 to 5 business days, depending on lab volumes.

We do have options for expedited testing as well via a different private lab. Expedited tests are not rapid tests.  The expedited test is the PCR test, run at a large lab facility, which results in similar sensitivity rates to Quest. The expedited turn around results in 36 to 48 hours.  The expedited PCR test cost is $175 and this is not covered by insurance. Please note once you secure your appointment slot for the expedited testing, the fee is NON–REFUNDABLE.
