COVID Testing in Atlanta

If you are a patient needing to be evaluated for COVID-19, please call the office first to schedule an appointment then follow the steps below. If you are an employee being tested through our COVID-19 Surveillance System, you do not need to call the office to schedule an appointment as your employer will notify you of your testing date and time.

To onboard for COVID-19 screening please follow all three steps listed below.

You are required to complete all three steps.

We bill insurance for the visit and the COVID-19 test. We are currently out of network with most HMO’s including Kaiser and the POS plan from BCBS.

If you have no insurance the out of pocket cost for the visit is $60, the out of pocket cost for the COVID-19 nasal PCR test is $67 and the COVID-19 serum antibody test is $100. You will be invoiced directly from Quest Labs for any out of pocket lab cost.

Turnaround time for the test results is currently about 3 business days.

In order to register you will need to perform the following steps.

  1. Fill out enrollment forms by clicking on the following link: Enrollment Forms.
  2. While in the enrollment forms document, take pictures of your drivers license (front)  and insurance card (front and back) and upload them onto this system.
  3. Once you submit this form you will receive an email that will confirm that we received your information. This email will also contain a link to a docusign document in order to sign our consent to treatment and financial responsibilities documents.
  4. Please review and electronically sign these documents.

OhMD:

We use OhMD to communicate by text and to send your COVID-19 testing results, as well as to conduct telemedicine consults, in a secure HIPAA compliant manner. Please download the app. Below are instructions on how to download the OhMD app to your smart phone

  1. Download the app by clicking one of the links above
  2. Open the app
  3. Click continue
  4. Enter your email address then click continue
  5. Enter first name and last name (ensure this is the same first and last name we have on file for you as a patient as this is an important link to establish)
  6. Create a password and agree to the terms.
  7. Enter your phone number.
  8. Then click on text me.
  9. Enter the code that is sent to you.
  10. Click patient
  11. Enter date of birth and gender
  12. Click continue
  13. Click on Dr. Edward Espinosa (if you don’t see “Dr. Edward Espinosa” go ahead and search for it on the messages screen)
  14. And send us a test text.
  15. We will respond back to ensure we are able to communicate with you.

VSEE:

Most COVID-19 screening will require an initial telemedicine encounter. Our main telemedicine application is OhMD.  See is our backup telemedicine system. VSee is a free telemedicine app that you can download to facilitate the call. Please ensure that once downloaded you set the setting to allow use of camera and microphone for the app. Please download the app well in advance of your scheduled telemedicine call. Please do not use this app for text messaging to the office or doctor. Please click on the “Vsee” link: Go to VSeeIf you have any difficulty loading the app please try 5 minutes later. Intermittently the VSee telemedicine vendor may experience high volumes which can slow down or stop the download process.

To ensure we are able to see you online once you have signed into the app, do the following. If you are using a mobile device, on the bottom of your screen click the “three dots/more” button then select your email at the top of the screen the select automatic. If you are using a PC or Mac, on the top left of your screen click on the box with your initials then click available.
